After spending 15 years solving finance and engineering problems for major corporations, I shifted gears to the personal side of finance.

I love numbers and math, which led me down the engineering career path. I graduated from Miami University in Oxford OH, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Management. I followed that with an MBA from DePaul University with a concentration in Finance and Investment Management.

I spent the first 12-years of my career in Chicago working mostly in engineering and supply chain finance. In 2014, my wife and I packed our bags and moved to Seattle where I joined Amazon working in Finance. Throughout the 6 years while I was at Amazon I had the opportunity to partner with great teams solving really challenging problems. I generated cash flow analysis for robotics deployments in the fulfillment centers, owned wind farm and rooftop paybacks for the Amazon Sustainability team, and Revenue projections for Analytics services with AWS.

In 2018 we found out we were adding twin boys to our family of three, and the thought of raising 3 kids under the age of 4 without family nearby was TERRIFYING. We moved back to Chicago and are enjoying being close to family. I discovered the world of FI/RE and consumed all of the Podcasts and Blogs that I could. In 2021, I decided to turn that passion into a career and left Amazon, joined SeedSafe, and I am currently taking classes towards the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

Personally, my wife and my family live in the suburbs of Chicago. There’s never a dull moment with this crew, and we take it all in with lots of coffee. I love spending time with my family, sneaking in an occasional round of golf, and traveling as much as possible.
